Charities
Here at The Beefy Boys, it's very important to us to support our local community as much as we can!
Every three months, our 3 restaurants choose a charity they’d like to donate too. Using this scheme, we proudly donated over £65,000 in 2023 to local charities, schools, support groups and go fund me pages. Here’s a word from those charities…
"Be More Frank was established in 2021 in honour of glorious Frank who died from cancer in 2021, aged 13.
We provide grants to the family of every child with cancer in Herefordshire, Worcestershire, Gloucestershire, Monmouthshire, Powys & Ceredigion. The grants are not means tested and are easy to access. We believe providing financial assistance during a family’s darkest times when costs spiral is a vital practical support we can offer. Our goal is to continue this provision until the day our children are no longer being diagnosed with cancer. The Beefy Boys donation has helped us continue this service, and we are so very grateful. Our oncology families continue to be supported thanks to their generous gift.""The Compassionate Friends is the UK's only national charity providing peer support from bereaved parents to other parents whose son or daughter, of any age, has died from any cause.
Over 300 trained and supported volunteers, all bereaved parents, support in person, over the telephone, by email, online and in print and provide the compassion, empathy, understanding, friendship, and hope that only other bereaved parents can give. The Beefy Boys team in Shrewsbury set aside a portion of their tips and donated £3734.23 to TCF, which has helped us meet the costs of offering our range of support to bereaved parents in Shropshire. We are extremely grateful for their support.""The Hereford Foodbank is committed to the relief of poverty in Herefordshire and the surrounding area through the provision of 7-day emergency food parcels, containing basic nutritional foods and other basic amenities.
Recipients of food parcels are those deemed to be in emergency need arising from, for example, homelessness, debt, poor mental health, or delayed benefit payments. We rely on volunteer time, food, and financial donations from our community to provide our service. The very welcome, regular financial donations from the Beefy Boys helps us to purchase essential food items for emergency parcels. We would like nothing more than to be in a position where there is not a need for foodbanks. However, with the support from our community, we will continue to provide food to those in crisis.""Our Place School is an independent special school in Worcestershire.
We believe every young person deserves to feel safe and secure, receive an excellent education and the chance to fulfil their potential, whatever their background or needs. We are committed to providing our young people with a place to grow and develop positively, where their individual needs are met, and they are seen and valued as the unique and wonderful young people they are. The generous donation from Beefy Boys allowed us to install two ActivAll Boards! These walls encourage teamwork, gross motor skills, whole body movement as well as being great fun for our students. Without the donation from Beefy Boys, this would not have been possible. Thank you, Beefy Boys!""Every donation given helps your local hospitals do more to care for you, everyone you love and our passionate NHS staff.
From cutting-edge technology, improvements to facilities, supporting our incredible staff to specialist care; your support helps to fund projects that make a positive change for as many as possible. Working with The Beefy Boys in Cheltenham has just been the most fantastic experience! In just three months they fundraised an incredible £6,512.28 for our Oncology department. This support means we can do even more to help local cancer patients, their loved ones and the wonderful NHS staff that care for them. We are so grateful for their generous support and want to say a big thank you to everyone in the Cheltenham Team!""Shropshire Mental Health Support seeks to empower people with mental health issues.
We work to raise awareness and increase understanding of mental illness in Shropshire. Our primary goal is to ensure that people in need of assistance are heard and supported, also signposted to the relevant resources they require. Over the last 12 months, Shropshire MHS has supported over 12,000 people with their mental health needs - equating to 1,000 individuals per month. This number is growing each year, and the charity is proud to have averted over 700 potential suicides every year – saving invaluable lives, each with purpose and meaning. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Beefy Boys customers for their generous donation towards our purchase of a new well-being vehicle. This vehicle is an essential service that will assist those in need. It will visit market towns and serve as a vital link to our other services, such as the award-winning Shropshire Sanctuary, our around-the-clock telephone support service, outreach programs, and person-centred groups. We are passionate about collaborating with other like-minded businesses in our community to make a positive impact.""The Living Hope.
The Living Hope, based in Hereford, is dedicated to assisting individuals facing homelessness, addiction and poverty to receive the specialist supported accommodation they need; then providing ‘move on’ accommodation with individual mentoring, tailored support and training to promote independence and self-sufficiency. We are run entirely volunteer-driven and funded by generous donations. The Living Hope Hub, tirelessly served generously donated meals to homeless people every evening for four months. All cooked and donated by local businesses and churches. The team’s dedication continues as we develop the next phase of The Living Hope Hub in new premises. The very generous donation from Beefy Boys will significantly boost our efforts to establish The Living Hope Hub again in Hereford. Their support will enable us to serve lonely, vulnerable, homeless and marginalized people during the early evenings, when everything closes; darkness falls; the temperature drops; morale plummets, loneliness sets in and problems increase. Most importantly, it will allow us to install a kitchen, dramatically enhancing our capacity to cook, serve and care. Heartfelt thanks to Beefy Boys for joining our mission to provide hope and stability to needy people."

Sponsorship
We're very proud to sponsor local sports teams, drama groups, and many others!
Through our sponsorships, we aim to support these organisations by providing resources for new equipment, investing in their members’ development, and creating opportunities for growth. Here’s what our fantastic teams have to say…
"Sponsorship is the lifeblood of our youth rugby team, and its impact cannot be overstated.
With sponsorship support we can provide our players with top-notch equipment, access to quality training facilities, and opportunities to compete in tournaments and matches. Additionally, sponsorship enables us to invest in coaching development and community engagement initiatives. This season 2024/25 we have had a new kit designed and have had the beefy boys logo on our match day shorts for all the youth section.""The Cracked Slipper Company is a registered charity providing free weekly drama groups, workshops and events to disadvantaged young people between the age of 7 years and 25 years living in Herefordshire.
We reach out to those who may have barriers to accessing the arts because of socioeconomic reasons, those who lack confidence and marginalised groups in Herefordshire. We help young people to gain confidence, gain new skills and to feel part of the larger community. We help young people to reach their aspirations and feel confident about a brighter future. We are a very inclusive group promoting community cohesion. At The Cracked Slipper Company we promote creativity and in April we ran a Poetry competition for young people aged between 10 years and 18 years of age living in Herefordshire. The theme was "What's it like living in Hereford." Thanks to sponsorship from the Beefy Boys Hereford every single poem submitted will be featured in a book of Hereford Young Poets. And the winners in each category will receive a prize.""Having had Beefy Boys as our sponsors the last two seasons has been an incredible boost for our team.
It's allowed us to buy new kit and equipment to continue the development of our players and make sure we look great during the season. The support has motivated the team and now we boast three TeamGB players who are setting their sights on the Olympics in 4 years time for LA2028. We love to host all of our team meals at Beefy Boys too. Murf and the whole team are incredible. We simply wouldn't be where we are without them.""Shrewsbury Ladies 1st team play in Midlands Women's Division 3 North West.
Finishing a strong 4th position in the 23/24 league, the ladies are building a young, strong side, leading the womens section of the club. Beefy Boys sponsorship provided the squad with a set of new away team shirts, making us really feel like a team. Their sponsorship also bought the club a new set of training of balls, supporting our almost 300 member strong club train to the best of our ability. We are so grateful for Beefy Boys' ongoing support of our team and our club ❤️""Liam O’Hare is a professional boxer from Hereford who is the Midland’s Super Middleweight Champion.
He started off as a talented ballet dancer with the Royal Ballet before switching to boxing at 16. He sees both as an art form where power and strength combined with movement and finesse to produce the performance. He is very active in the community selflessly supporting various charities including FirstLight Trust, The Veterans Project, Brightstart and MIND. He is looking to become the British champion within the next year. Sponsorship is important to allow him to train full time. The Beefy Boys sponsor helps finance his travel to Birmingham weekly to get the technical coaching he needs and sparring opportunities with the top fighters around the UK prior to fights."
